bobbibillard Hi, it’s me, Bobbi Billard. You may know me from my career as a model, actress, & professional wrestler, but what some of you might not know is that I was harmed by breast implants. I got mine at the age of 18. I did my research. I thought I was doing everything right. I chose a good surgeon. I was told they were safe, that they were lifetime devices, & that they were virtually indestructible. I now know that I was sold on a pack of lies. My body never liked them. I always developed capsular contracture after a few years & I had to keep getting them replaced so I could continue being the go to “Pam Anderson type” in Hollywood. I finally got to a point where my body couldn’t take it anymore. My breast implant tried to force its way out through my skin & I had to have emergency surgery to remove them. I was thrown into this whole explant movement & the Breast Implant Illness community welcomed me with open arms. The more research I did, I discovered that breast implants are not the safe medical device that I was told they were. I also learned that my Mentor Memory Gel implants were not even FDA approved! I had paid my hard earned money to essentially become a guinea pig in J&J’s experiment. 😱 Then the ICIJ reported that hundreds of thousands of adverse medical device reports were being hidden from the FDA’s public facing website. The more digging I did, the more grateful I became that my body took it upon itself to do what it did. My path hasn’t been easy. After my surgery I had an open wound that leaked fluid for over 4 months. My surgeon didn’t remove the entire capsule en bloc like I’d been promised & he didn’t repair my muscle afterwards. Instead he left my muscle rolled up like a window shade. I had to have a second surgery to fix what I was left with but I’m finally comfortable in my own skin... even more so that I ever was when I had the implants. I feel like I have gone full circle & it took me getting back to natural in order for me to truly heal. bobbibillard I wear my scars like a badge of honor. 🎖 People often fear #explant . They wonder, “What will I look like afterwards?” And I understand completely, but if you are sick & tired enough, it doesn’t matter! Scars fade over time & I learned a valuable lesson long ago... Nothing is worth your health or your happiness. You cannot buy it back, even with all the money in the world. 💸 In my case, my body rejected my breast implants. 🚫 I did what I had to do. I #explanted . Do I look picture perfect, just like the airbrushed pages of Playboy? No. But nobody really does anyway. It’s easy to look flawless when using more filters than Brita 💦 & airbrushed 🖌 to the point where you resemble a painting 🖼 more than you do a photograph. 📸 We all have flaws & imperfections. 🤕 I’m here to tell you that it’s ok NOT to be perfect! And that’s coming from a reformed perfectionist. I’ve been damn hard on myself & I’m not going to do that anymore. IT IS OK to be YOU! The people that really love you are not going to go anywhere based on a pair of boobs & if they do, help them pack their bags. 👋🏼😄🧳 YOU are more than just what you look like, no matter what false agenda our beauty obsessed culture tries to push. The people that subscribe to the vain way of life & promote that it’s all about what you look like, how much money you’ve got, what brand of clothes you’re wearing, what kind of car you drive, etc. aren’t the type of peeps you want to impress anyway, trust me on that. 🙌🏼 They aren’t your tribe. Those will be the first types of people that hit the road when the going gets tough. If something were to happen to your looks, they’d be like peace out. ✌🏼 You’re better off alone than keeping company like that. Don’t buy in to that empty life, I know firsthand how miserable most of those people actually are behind closed 🚪 doors... no matter how many showboating, learjet 🛩 posing, designer clothes, purse, shoe & closet flaunting, fake facade IGs & FBs will try to convince you otherwise. bobbibillard Don’t forget to file your MDR report(s) with the FDA! 👆🏼 There were many things that we weren’t told. 😶 This is important! Did you know that if you’ve ever had problems with your breast implants that you are supposed to file what’s called a Medical Device Report? 🤔 Well... I was never informed and I have had a long history of problems (including a ruptured textured silicone gel implant that leaked throughout my body). I have never filed one because I didn’t know I was supposed to. Meanwhile, it’s been reported that there are 300,000+ of these reports that the FDA kept hidden on their public facing website, until now... So I want to spread the word about this. Gather your medical records and file your MDR here: https://www.fda.gov/medicaldevices/safety/reportaproblem/default.htm Also, be sure to leave a comment about the FDA’s recent meeting on medical devices here: https://www.regulations.gov/comment?D=FDA-2019-N-0426-0001 The deadline to be considered for the latest FDA ruling on breast implants is April 26, 2019 but don’t worry if you missed that. bobbibillard On February 1st 2019, I explanted my breast implants in a bid to resolve my health issues and I’m not looking back. I have gone from a Playboy model to my new “less is more” look, which I am learning to love and embrace. I have successfully surprised all of my friends and loved ones on my immediate support team with how well I have been taking things. Right now it’s all about my health, healing and recovery. bobbibillard I’ve been keeping a secret from you guys. I explanted recently (February 1st, 2019). For those that don’t know, I’ve had a long history with multiple breast implant surgeries and nothing but problems. I’ve had 9 breast augmentations in one breast and 10 in the other (due to a seroma complication). Every single time I had this surgery, except for the first time, I developed capsular contracture after a year or two in only one of my breast implants causing asymmetry. I really should have taken these things out years ago, but I couldn’t because I made my money based upon how I looked. So I kept getting augmentations and slapped a band-aid on it. I finally got to a point where my body couldn’t take it anymore. I developed some sort of mystery infection or autoimmune response which I went to doctors for. I did some blood tests and unfortunately, they couldn’t find anything wrong. They said my blood work was the healthiest blood work they’d seen all month. Deep down inside, I knew something was wrong though and eventually the infection kicked itself up a notch. I noticed that there was swelling and redness along my scar line. My breast was warm to the touch. It appeared as if this infection/immune response was trying to force my implant out through my skin along my scar line. Scroll to see photos and some are graphic so be forewarned. I consulted a plastic surgeon who said it needed to be drained and the implants removed immediately. Upon draining it, the surgeon said my breast implant was right there just sitting against my skin and that he was lucky that he didn’t cut my implant open when he cut my skin because there wasn’t any tissue protecting it. He sewed me up but somehow my suture re-opened again. I was then left with a hole that looked like a gunshot wound. I put on a breathable waterproof bandage so that I could shower and not have my implant exposed like that.
