bybrookelle with everything going on in the world, please don’t wait to be kind. don’t wait for someone else to be kind first. don’t wait for better circumstances or for someone to change. just be kind, because you never know how much someone really needs it 👼🏼

bybrookelle if you’re at a low rn, please remember that that’s exactly what it is; a low. it’s not permanent and it’s not forever. and know that it’s okay to be at a low, it’s okay to be struggling. but it’s not okay to think that a low defines you. this low will pass. these tough times will end. it is temporary and before you know, you’ll be okay again :) 💗
bybrookelle just a lil reminder to stop spending so much time worrying about what others think. they cannot see your whole story. they cannot see all of your magic and everything wonderful about you. stop giving so much weight to their opinions and start creating your own opinions about yourself, because those are the ones that really matter the most 💓
bybrookelle rather than believing your worth comes from somewhere or someone out there, what if you started believing that your worth actually comes from within? you aren’t just a walking group of numbers — your weight, your followers or your bank account — you are so much more than that. you are a real soul with real feelings. your worth comes from everything that makes you, you!! never forget how rare you are. 💓
bybrookelle for the ones who are struggling right now. for the ones who have been having a rough day or week or even year. the ones who feel like this storm will never end. keep fighting for you. not for your friends, not for your family, but for you. keep fighting because deep down you hold a tiny voice that knows you were meant for far more than this sadness and pain you are feeling. keep fighting because the person you will be on the other side of all this is cheering for you. keep fighting because you will get there, you will heal from the things you don’t talk about, and it will all be worth it ☁️🤍
bybrookelle you make an impact on the world around you each and every day. whether it’s how you treat the tired cashier at the grocery store or how you react to the rushed driver who cut you off, you are constantly sending your energy into the world. when you call or do not call your mum, when you help or don’t help someone pick up things they’ve dropped, you are always making an impact. and what’s sometimes forgotten is that the little impacts we make everyday on our world, are actually quite the opposite; they are not little at all, they are the acts that I believe make the biggest difference ☁️🪐👼🏼
bybrookelle i haven’t really had the words to sum up or describe how much the death of George Floyd has played on my mind and weighed on my heart. i don’t believe any amount of words will ever be able to reflect how disgusting, evil and horrific his murder was. nobody deserves to die that way.
i can’t fathom what it must feel like to be born a particular way and be discriminated against based on that, based on the skin tone you were brought into this world with. i can’t fathom the constant and relentless anxiety and fear that is felt everyday for anyone who is black or poc. i cannot fathom how it must be trying to live out your day to day life in fear, that in any moment, it can be taken from you for no rhyme or reason, by none other than someone who’s job it is to ‘serve and protect’ you. i have a knot in my throat just thinking about how terrifying and exhausting that must be, to have to try and survive society and callous human beings every single day.
i cannot fathom any of it because i am a privileged white woman, but confronting racism is not about the needs and feelings of white people. this is about people of colour who are treated completely different, because of the colour of their skin. this is about innocent lives being lost and the families mourning the unjustified deaths of their loved ones. this is about standing up for what is right against something that is so, so terribly wrong. this is about educating ourselves, using our voice, empowering each other and standing in solidarity with Black and indigenous communities, along with all those fighting for Black lives.
i promise to do better and be better, in whichever aspect i can. i will continue to stand up for what i believe in. i will do more.
bybrookelle not everyone is going to like you and that’s okay! you aren’t here to be everyone’s type, that would be an exhausting life. make being your own type your centre of attention. if you love yourself, it really doesn’t matter if anyone else does. be true to yourself, be kind to others, let your passion shine and love yourself fearlessly! and just because they can’t see how amazing you are, doesn’t mean you aren’t amazing. so let whoever dislike you, you just keep on loving! no matter what 💗☁️
